Safari (2), Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia

hi from Zimbambwe !! this is what I've been up to :

Okavango Delta, Botswana: it's an incredible maze of inland waterways and lagoons, a haven for wildlife and birds. The Okavango River orginates in Central Angola. There we met our mokoro polars, a very basic canoe run by Sofia !! there we did camping in the bush in the middle of nowhere together with the polars (local people from Botswana). Very cool, next to some hippos, with no toilets and in the middle of motherland Africa !! There we did some game walking and we were in single line coz then the animals don't know what we are !! saw an elephant, and they are aggressive fellows when they eat some fruits that gets them drunk !!

Chobe National Park, Botswana: after 3 days with no showers we got to the national park. The Chobe region fills the squat triangle made by the meeting of the Namibian, Zambian and Zimbabwean borders with those of Botswana. Highest concentration of elephants in the world !! We saw many beautiful baobab trees (the gods got angry at humans and throw the trees with the roots up !!). Amazing !! so close to crocs (can live 90 years), elephants (can be right or left handed) and hippos (can be 5 min under water and swim very fast) that it's umbelievable !! much better than the other parks I've visited !! there I saw the most beautiful sunset of my life, sun setting behind 3 elephants grazing. Unforgetable !!

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe: Originally called 'Mosi oa Tunya' (the smoke than thunders) by the Makololo tribe who lived in the area. A thundering column of water over 1.7km wide where Zambezi River plummets into a phasm 150m deep. Very impressive !! In Zimbabwe 50,000 zimbabwe dollars = 1 pula, so only today I changed 15million zim !! I have to carry then around like Lluis, wrapped on a plastic band !! Very poor and persistent people, all trying to make some money, but also very friendly !!

Livingsone, Zambia: I just went there for the day and I can say that this is the best country I've seen in Africa so far !! People are extremely friendly and helped me buy Chipolopolo beer and zambian hiphop !! Awesome !! I must come back !! Soooooooooooo nice and friendly, unforgetable !!

Back today in Zimbabwe, fly tomorrow to Jo'burg for a day and then back to Sydney for a week. Travelling the world, literarlly, all good. Africa is just something else.

hola desde Zimbabwe !! esto es lo que he estado haciendo estos dias:

Okavango Delta, Botswana: es un lio increible de canales y lagos, y paraiso para los animales !! El rio Okavango nace en Angola central, y desemboca en el delta en Botswana. Alli cogimos un mokoro (una canoa superchamiza) con nuestra capitana, Sofia, una negrita de Botswana muy simpatica que no hablaba ni papa de ingles !! acampamos en el medio del bosque, superespectacular, al lado de hipopotamos, sin banyos ni agua corriente ni nada !! alli fuimos caminando a ver animales, en fila india porque asi los animales no saben lo que somos !! vimos un elefante de cerca, pero no demasiado pq algunos comen algunas frutas que los emborrachan y se ponen superburros !!

Chobe National Park, Botswana: despues de 3 dias sin duchas, nos dirigimos al Chobe. La region llena el espacio entre las fronteras de Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe y Botswana, y tiene la mayor densidad de elefantes del mundo !! Vimos varios arboles baobab preciosos (cuenta la leyenda que un dia los dioses se cabrearon con los humanos y lanzaron arboles y aterrizaron con las raices para arriba). Alucinante !! Tan cerca de crocodilos (pueden vivir 90 anyos), elefantes (son diestros o zurdos, como los humanos) y hipopotamos (son muy grunyones, pueden estar 5 minutos sin respirar debajo del agua y nadan superrapido) que es increible !! mucho mejor que los otros parques que he visitado !! tambien alli vi la puesta de sol mas bonita de mi vida, el sol rojo poniendose detras de tres elefantes pastando. Inolvidable !!

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe: Originalmente llamado 'Mosi oa Tunya' (el humo que truena) por la tribu Makololo que vivia en la zona antes de que los ingleses llegaran. Son unas cataratas espectaculares, de 1.7km de ancho y con caidas de 150m de profundidad !! En Zimbabwe 50,000 zim dollars = 1 pula, o sea que al cambiar moneda me quede con 15millones de chuflis, y los llevaba como el Lluis, en un fajo atados con una goma !! La gente de este pais son muy pobres y persistentes, todos intentando sacar algo de dinero de donde sea, pero tambien muy muy simpaticos !!

Livingsone, Zambia: fui solo alli para pasar el dia y puedo decir que es el mejor pais Africano que he visitado !!! la gente es la ostia, superenrollados, y me ayudaron a conseguir cerveza Chipolopolo y hiphop zambiano !! Increible !! Tengo que volver aqui !! Taaaaaaaaaan majos, inolvidable tambien.

De vuelta hoy en Zimbabwe, manyana vuelo a Johannesburg para pasar un dia a penas y luego a Sydney unos dias antes de encontrarme a Lluis en Chile !!! La vuelta al mundo literalmenete !!! Todo estupendo aqui. Africa es especial, hay que venir para poder entenderlo !!!
