Maseru, Lesotho

just a quick update:

Aliwal north: working my way up to Lesotho I drove to this city in the middle of nowhere. I took a xhosa lady (poor she was standing in the cold) and we drove together 2 hours. She has a pretty sad story but always has a smile in her face !! That night I slept in the roof of a very cool farm, and it was so cold that my car was completely frozen the next morning !!

Maseru: quite a scruffy and messy place, that looks dangerous in the evenings. All accomodation here is very expensive and overrated !! at the end I got one hotel not too bad. I went out with the cook of the hotel and walked around town. He said he was going to cook something typical from Lesotho for me ... but when I showed up at dinner time there was fish and chips !!! big flop !!

today I am in Bethlehem and it took me literally 1 hour to find the internet shop coz nobody knew anything about it !!

all great in this big fascinating country !!

hola, un update rapidin:

Aliwal north: de camino a Lesotho decidi parar en esta ciudad en medio de la nada !! recogi por el camino a una mujer Xhosa (la vi paradita en la carretera y hacia mogollon de frio ...) y conducimos juntos dos horas. Tiene una historia bastante triste, pero siempre tenia una sonrisa a punto !! Dormi en lo alto de una antiguo establo, y por la manyana hacia tanto frio que me encontre mi coche completamente helado. Y yo en chanclas !!!

Maseru: una ciudad bastante fea y chola, que me temo es bastante peligrosa por las noches. Todos los hoteles son supercaros y bastante cutres para lo que se paga, pero al final encontre uno que no estaba del todo mal. Me fui con el cocinero de mi hotel a dar una vuelta por la ciudad y me dijo que iba a cocinar algo tipical de Lesotho para mi ... y cuando fui a cenar me dio pescado con patatas !! tela marinera !! vaya bluf !!! pfffffffffff.

hoy estoy en Bethlehem, y me ha llevado una hora encontrar el unico cafe internet del pueblo pq nadie lo conoce !! para mear y no echar gota !!

todo bien desde este grande, fascinante y maravilloso pais !!
