landed in Madrid some days ago now and my family came to pick me up (mum, dad, Silvia and Edu). Pretty cool to see them again !! The bad news were that I was coming from summer and now here it's winter, so it's cold, it gets dark very early plus I need to catch up with lots of sleep ... Everything is going to be alright though, coz travelling for a year has been the best decision I've taken in my entire life !!
Spending time now with family and friends, eating well and going out in the evenings. Mi little sister is pregnant !!! amazing news !! I am going to be an uncle !! wow !! Now that my trip is over it's time for me to look ahead to the future with confidence, because I have experienced many unforgettable things during this last year, I have learnt about myself and most importantly I have learnt that I must be happy every single day !!!

Buenos Aires & Costa Atlantica, Argentina

hi all,

stayed some more days in this beautiful city. Been hanging out with Euge, Lore, Lucia, Javi and Sergio. Catching a lot of colectivos, esp. from Villa del Parque, so mingling a lot with the locals !! Last week took a bus with the boys to Mar del Plata looking for some sun and beach. This city is a seaside resort for the argentinians, it's not particularty pretty and still not very busy so we left next day for Pinamar. It was also cold and windy, but with an interesting film festival !! So we saw a cool film and went out to the only open boliche !! Now we are back in Buenos Aires spending our last days before going back home for xtmas ... happy to see family but not to the prospect of getting serious, coz I have changed a wee bit during this long trip ...

me quede unos dias mas en esta bonita ciudad. He estado saliendo con Euge, Lore, Lucia, Javi y Sergio, pasandola muy bien. Estos dias he tomado muchos colectivos, especialmente desde Villa del Parque, o sea que me he encontrado con todo tipo de fauna superlocal !! La semana pasada nos fuimos con Javi y Sergio a Mar del Plata buscando un poco de playa y sol. Es una ciudad costera, que se llena de porteños en epoca de vacaciones. No es especialmente bonita, y como aun no estaba muy llena de gente y hacia malo nos fuimos para Pinamar. Alli tambien hacia frio y viento, pero habia un festival de cine internacional muy interesante !! Vimos una peli bastante buena y salimos a el unico boliche abierto !! Ahora estamos de vuelta en Buenos Aires pasando nuestros ultimos dias antes de ir a casa por navidades ... tengo ganas de ver a mi familia y amigos, pero no a la idea de hacer cosas serias pq ya he cambiado un poco durante este viaje ...

hi all,

been clubbing out every night until sunrise and one day when we were not too hangover we visited El Tigre, a very nice weekend retreat for the porteños. Lots of islands and canals in the delta of the Parana river to chill out there. A bit like Finland we reckon !!
These last days with the boys here in capital have been great, we have partied hard, dined out at amazing places like Casa Cruz (cheers mates !!), chilled out and caught some sun !! Now I am sad to see my dudes leave to their respective countries and jobs, and a bit of a reality check for me as the end of this trip is near ... will see them soon anyway and I must keep happy que la vida es un carnaval !!

hola a todos,

hemos estado saliendo de boliches cada noche hasta el amanecer, y un dia cuando no estabamos demasiado hechos polvo visitamos El Tigre, un destino turistico de fin de semana para los porteños. Muchos canales e islas en esta pequeña ciudad en el delta del rio Parana y la pasamos paseando por alli. Un poco como Finlandia pero con porteños y sol !!
Estos ultimos dias con los chicos aqui en capital han estado fantasticos, hemos salido, hemos cenado en sitios espectaculares como Casa Cruz (gracias chicos !!), hemos paseado y hemos tomado el sol !! Ahora que ya se han ido a sus respecivos paises y a sus respectivos trabajos me he quedado un poco empanado, pq ha sido un pequeño choque con la realidad, ya que solo me quedan 12 dias de este viaje !! bueno, las buenas noticias son que los vere pronto otra vez !!

Montevideo & Colonia, Uruguay

hi all,

just a quick update to say that saw Montevideo with new eyes thanks to a city tour on a bus and the boys !! there are many trendy little corners !! After that we shoot off this morning to Colonia del Sacramento, we had to run through it to catch the ferry to Buenos Aires (from where I am writing these lines) but managed to take some cool pictures with the boys !!

un update cortito para decir que vi Montevideo con unos nuevos ojos gracias a una visita guiada que hicimos en autobus y a los chicos !! hay bastantes esquinitas muy trendies por la ciudad !! Despues de Montevideo nos hemos ido esta mañana a Colonia de Sacramento antes de regresar a Buenos Aires (desde donde escribo). Hemos tenido que ir rapidin rapidin para agarrar el ferry, pero hemos hecho algunas fotos bien populares !!

Florianopolis & Porto Alegre, Brazil

hi all,

the boys wanted some beach in november so we took an overnight bus to Floripa !!! Pretty wild and windy beaches !! also went out clubbing to the trendiest places !! simply amazing ... Brazil !! the following day we visited a very cool deserted beach on the south of Sta Catarina !! when it got sunny we stayed one more day and saw heaps of garotinhas at the beach !! the image we all have of Brazil, fun + sun + beach + girls !! we also got super-red. Pfffff. The next day we left for Porto Alegre, there I re-discovered this city with the guys and it really is much better than I remembered !!

los chicos querian ir a la playa en noviembre, asi que agarramos un autobus nocturno hacia Floripa !! Donde las playas son salvajes y con mucho viento !! tambien salimos de boliches a los sitios mas trendies !!! Brasil es sencillamente fantastico !! al dia siguiente visitamos una playa desierta muy molona en el extremo sur de Sta Catarina !! alucinante !! como la prevision del tiempo era sol, nos quedamos un dia mas y vimos en la playa mogollon de garotinhas !! la imagen que uno tiene de Brasil, playa + sol + garotinhas !! tambien nos quemamos y nos pusimos super-rojos. Pffffff. Al dia siguiente nos fuimos para Porto Alegre, donde re-descubri esta peculiar ciudad con ojos nuevos, y es realmente bastante mejor de lo que yo recordaba !!
