Jo'burg (SA), Sydney (Australia)

hi from Santiago de Chile with Lluis, this is what I did this last week !!

Johannesburg, South Africa: stayed at trendy Melville and went with Alan and Megan (I met them climbing Mt Kinabalu) to the best steakhouse in the world !! so cool to catch up with them !! the following day I walked around this funky neighbourhood !!!

Sydney, Australia: after a marathonian trip through Singapore I got to Sydney where my matey Debi was waiting for me !! it was so cool seeing her after Samoa !! Stayed in a cool hotel in Darlinghurst and the following day we did some sightseeing and met Andy for some drinks. He was working with me in Manchester and I had not seen him since then !! Really cool this thing to catch up with old mates !! We went to the Opera house, Manly beach, walked from Bondi beach to Coggee beach, swam in a cold salty water swimming pool in Bondi and then we rented a car to Hunters Valley !! This is the place with the best wine in Australia and stayed in a beautiful cottage, with amazing scenery and very good wines !! It was off season and we were off the beaten track, so we met really nice local interesting people !! That day we had dinner in an amazing contemporary australian restaurant called 'shaky tables', just umbelievable !! Our last day in Sydney we stayed in a 5 star hotel, in style !! a bit sad to leave coz it was great fun !!

now all great in Santiago with lluis, we went out last night to the disco 'Kamasu'. Pfffff

hola desde Santiago de Chile con Lluis, y esto es lo que he hecho estos ultimos dias !!

Johannesburg, Surafrica: me quede en el trendy Melville y quede con Alan y Megan (los conoci cuando subi al Mt Kinabalu) para cenar en el mejor steakhouse que he estado en mi vida !!! estuvo muy bien volverles a ver y recordar Malasia !! al dia siguiente me di un paseo y me tome un cafe en este barrio tan funky !!

Sydney, Australia: despues de un viaje maratoniano con escala en Singapur aterrice en Sydney donde me esperaba mi amiga Debi !! fantastico volver a verla despues de Samoa !! nos quedamos en un hotel muy molon en Darlinghurst y al dia siguiente nos dimos un paseo por la ciudad y quedamos con mi amigo Andy !! no lo habia visto desde que los dos dejamos el trabajo en Manchester hacia 4 años !! y no ha cambiado nada !!! Fuimos a la Opera house, a Manly beach, caminamos de Bondi beach a Coggee beach, nade en la piscina de agua salada de Bondi (que esto hay que hacerlo !!) y tambien alquilamos un coche para ir a Hunters Valley. Este es el sitio donde se produce el mejor y mas famoso vino de Australia !! Nos quedamos en una cabanya perdida en medio del bosque rodeados de canguros !! el paisaje era superespectacular y tambien los vinos !! Como era entre semana y fuera de temporada la pasamos estupendo conociendo a gente peculiarisima y comiendo en sitios divinos sin ningun turista mas !! Para cenar fuimos a un sitio fantastico de cocina contemporanea australiana llamado 'shak tables', alucinante !! Y en nuestro ultimo dia en Sydney nos quedamos en un hotel de 5 estrellas, como los grandes !!! Al irme me dio un poco de pena pq estuvo muy bien ...

Pero ahora todo vuelve a estar de miedo pq estoy con Lluis en Chile y anoche ya fuimos al disco-chamizo 'Kamasu' !!! Pfffff..............
