El Chalten & El Calafate, Argentina

hi all,

after disembarking in Puerto Natales we walked around in this little welcoming city port and we decided to go to Argentina !! Got to El Calafate where we met Javi and Chiqui !! Really cool to see him after we said 'see you later' in Cambodia 6 months ago !! that evening we had diner with them and their cousin Raul & his girlfriend Gemma, great fun !! The following day hired a car and visited el Glaciar Perito Moreno !! it's one of the most active icefields on Earth, and we actually saw it moving !! awesome !! Then we set off to El Chalten, one of the most gorgeous mountain scenery in the world !! from the car we saw the extraordinary snow-caped towers of the Fitz Roy range!! The following day Dj and me we did an amazing 8 hour trek to the base of the Fitz Roy, to Lago de los Tres, simply amazing !! Then, as we found a good deal to go to Buenos Aires ... off we went !!

despues de desembarcar en Puerto Natales caminamos un poco por este pueblecito acogedor y decidimos agarrar un omnibus hacia Argentina !! Cuando llegamos a El Calafate, el Javitron y Chiqui nos estaban esperando !! Fue muy especial volver a ver a Chiqui despues de que nos dijeramos 'hasta luego' hace ya 6 meses en Siam Reap, Cambodia !! Ese dia fuimos a cenar con ellos y Raul y Gemma, y estuvo superchevere !! Al dia siguiente alquilamos un carro y visitamos el Glaciar Perito Moreno, uno de mas activos glaciares de la Tierra !! Espectacular !! Despues nos dirigimos a El Chalten, uno de los paisajes montañosos mas bonitos del mundo !! Desde el coche vimos ya las fabulosas torres nevadas del Fitz Roy !! Al dia siguiente Dj y yo hicimos un duro trek de 8 horas hasta la base del mismo Fitz Roy, al lago de los Tres, unas vistas alucinantes !! Como encontramos una oferta para ir a Buenos Aires ... pues para aca vinimos !!
